Our Student-Athlete Support Programme launched in 2024-25, providing bespoke support for our high performing student-athletes. The Student-Athlete Support Programme has been created to provide assistance for performance athletes who are studying at City St George’s alongside their sporting commitments.
Please ensure you read the full criteria before applying and do not try to apply until you have your university account as you won't have access yet.
The deadline to apply for 2025-26 is Wednesday 4th February 2026.
Support Package
Students selected for the programme will receive a package of support. Support services are based at the Clerkenwell campus, however, City St George’s students from any campus are eligible.

Successful student-athletes will be sent an agreement to sign noting their commitment to the sport and academia, as well as the programme, during their time at university.
Eligibility
To be eligible for support through the Student-Athlete Support Programme you must:
- Be enrolled on a degree programme (undergraduate or postgraduate) at the City St George’s, University of London
- Be of a national or international standard in a sport with a recognised National Governing Body
- Demonstrate your continued engagement and potential performance in future events
- Evidence your commitment to balancing sporting and academic demands
Award Levels
There are three award level on the programme: Elite, Talented, and Potential.
Criteria and support will vary depending on the award level. Awards are limited and so eligibility is no guarantee you will receive any award, or an award at a specific level. All award decisions are at the discretion of the awarding committee.
